Hi, I’m Sakurai.
This time the blog is written by phonetic symbols.
Try reading it!

How did you memorize English vocabulary when you were students?
Almost my classmates wrote down the words again and again on their notebooks.
But I’d never used my pen and notebook.
My method was to read aloud the word with appropriate pronunciation, looking at the spelling.
In order to do this, I memorized phonetic symbols at first.
This method was very effective for me to memorize both pronunciation and spelling.
It also made me possible to guess the pronounciation of a new word from its spelling.
Since this text looks mysterious, I feel like I’ve become a spy!
It’s fun to write sentences with phonetic symbols.
If you’re interested, give it a try!
